Hot Pockets and More Bread Letters for the Kids

I've been making letters and shapes for the kids, I call them kids bagels. I use the bagel recipe but I don't boil them or use steam. I just bake them on the stone at 400 degrees. And I brush them with TONS of butter before I put them in the oven and when I take them out. I also sprinkle them with a little salt after the first butter brushing. They are fluffy and delicious! Paul likes to dip his in jelly. (Joy wanted an "h," who knows why.)

I also used the bagel dough to make homemade hot pockets. Yum! They were really good, I can't wait to try more varieties.

Play Room Explosion

We cleaned out the play room, and it took up the whole house!!  We have too much stuff!  We have to do something!

Elsa Ice Powers

She thinks covering herself in dish bubbles gives her Elsa ice powers. Don't even suggest washing them off!

Bagel Factory

We are addicted to our homemade bagels now.  We made 29 at a time the last time.  That was too many, 6 batches.  The last ones got VERY sticky after resting so long.  I think I need to get a bigger stone so I can do more in one batch.

Joy and Grandma Ely

Joy got to have some quality time with Grandma Ely when she came for dinner last Wednesday.  I let Paul watch a video on his computer, and Joy and Grandma happily played stickers and coloring for a good long while.  You can see she drew on herself with a black marker.
