The Park

Paul had a ton of fun at the park today; we were happy that Chad and Allee could join us. Paul was pretty excited about Chad's Cars bike.

Speer Family Christmas 10

Paul had a really fun day with his cousins for our Speer Family Christmas. He had fun opening his presents and liked his drums from pappy, motorcycles from Kaitlyn and Tugs and tractor coat hanger from Aunt Missy. Trenton got a police car and Paul loved it so much, they played and played with it. All the kids had a great time playing outside as usual. They enjoyed climbing on the hay and tractors. Tugs especially liked hitting Shawn's punching bag in the barn; Uncle Keven might have to get him one of his own.

We sang Happy Birthday to Trenton, who's birthday is New Years Day. We had to re-light the candles so Paul could blow them out too.

I went to Jaime Rairigh's later that night for the Class of 2000 Bethany Girls Reunion. It was great fun to see Keli, Gina, Julie, Jaime, Keri George, etc all at the same time.

Day after Christmas

We had a relatively calm day the day after Christmas. We went to church then in the afternoon, Keli, Clay and Barbara came to visit. Keli brought Paul's Christmas present, more Iron Chef tools. He had lots of fun showing off all his new presents. Then, later in the day, we used my new pasta maker to make some homemade pasta. It took a little while to get the hang of it, but it turned out great! Paul was disappointed he wasn't allowed to help much. He did really enjoy watching the movie Cars afterward though. He won't stop talking about that movie! Today Stephanie watched him while I got some stuff done for Christmas with Shawn's family tomorrow. They watched Cars again.

Christmas Day

We had a very nice Christmas Day. Shawn had to do the presents on Christmas Eve because Paul didn't go to bed until midnight! We got up early on Christmas Day, at 7:00. I put Paul's stocking in the bed with him and filled it with crackers and a note, just like in his Thomas book that we have been reading multiple times per day.

The best part of the day was when I brought Paul down to see the tree and he was so excited he was speechless. He had fun opening his presents. Shawn did not have fun getting everything out of the packaging and put together! But he managed.
Then we relaxed a bit and headed to my mom's. Paul got about a half hour sleep on the way. He did pretty well the rest of the day considering that. Grandma, Uncle David and Grandpap Cowan came to dinner and Paul liked showing off for everyone. He had fun with all his presents and as always loved playing with the kitties.

He fell asleep on the way home and slept till the next morning, which was a great Christmas present for Shawn and I!
