Helping Farmer George

Paul can't resist helping Farmer George fix the tractors. He likes to steal all his tools. Even though we had to go grocery shopping, we enjoyed a relatively calm day after our crazy week last week.

Busy Weekend

Our crazy busy week of Bible School continued this weekend. Saturday began with a tractor ride with Farmer George, a visit with Daddy and Uncle Kevin as they got started with their work for the day, a walk in the heat, and then a visit for the remainder of the afternoon with Keli. We went to the new Walmart in Weirton and got our gift for the birthday party that evening.

We went to Lydia's daughter Lilly's birthday party at the Hanover Fire Hall. It was so nice to see Lydia and her family, and great to see how healthy Lilly was after all her heart problems. Paul had a blast at the petting zoo and pony rides. He wasn't scared and is definitely ready for our party!

End of Bible School

The week of Bible School was great, but today was the toughest. Paul was just exhausted. He was content to go with the kids sometimes during the morning, but other times he just wanted to be with mommy and swing on the swing. My last class of the day I led the games with him in my arms kicking and screaming. But overall he had a great time with all the other kids.

VBS

After being scared to join the older kids during Bible School on the first day, the second day Paul never looked back! He has been having a great time playing with the two little girls in the boxes, Allee and Jessie.

Reading to Cana

I have finally convinced this cool kid to read to Cana. Too bad it only lasts about 30 seconds! He also likes to ride his tractor with Monkey George (as opposed to Farmer George).

Father's Day

We had a nice dinner with Grandpa on Father's Day as he came back through from his very fun trip to Nashville to play his guitar.

Bible School Starts

The first day of Bible School went well. Paul was reluctant to join the little kids' class, but I think each day he will do better. He loves climbing on the swing set.

Dina's Party

We had a nice time at Dina's husband Jerry's surprise birthday party. It was great to see all of Dina's family, it had been a very long time. Paul had fun playing with all the kids.

Paul found a bucket of rocks by Dina's fish pond. He wanted to throw them in the yard, but I reminded him that when Dina used her push mower, the rocks would fly out. He talked about this for the rest of the party!

Sleeping in my Cart

Well, I have tried many things to get Paul to take a nap, but I never thought of this one. He climbed in my cart and asked me to push him. Fifteen minutes later, he was out!

At the Park

I like to take Paul to the park while Daddy mows grass so he doesn't run after the tractor. Paul is usually a little shy at first, but then goes right up to the big kids and plays with them. He was having a great time on the Merry Go Round.

Visit with Matt, Kate and Brian

We had a great visit and dinner with Kate, Matt and Brian. We appreciated Matt's input for our wine tasting event and appreciated Kate's taste-testing. Paul and Brian had a blast playing on the wagon! I think we might have to have a hay ride at our party.

New Tractor

Shawn bought Paul a new pedal tractor on Friday. Paul really loves playing on it and hauling stuff around in the cart. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of the pedals yet, but I'm sure it won't be long!

Finally Feeling Better

I was so happy when Paul was feeling better after being sick. We finally got back down to the park. Paul had fun with the merry go round. He enjoys pushing it more than riding on it.

Last week we had a great dinner and visit with Julie, Rachel, Jaime, David, Ben and Abby. I didn't get any pictures, which is a bummer. I got to see both of their fabulous new houses. We discovered how difficult it is to carry on conversations with five kids running around.

I also got to visit with Rebecca, Madison and Abigail on Friday. They are our new friends from gym class who are renovating a farmhouse in Avella. Again, I wish I would have taken some pictures.

Paul had fun playing with all the different kids.

Sick Kid

Paul has been sick for a week now. It started with a fever and then moved to a bad cold with lots of congestion and slime. He has been wanting to read and watch tv a lot, but has also been a wild child who keeps throwing fits, especially when he gets tired. It has been exhausting. I really hope and pray that he is on the mend.

Front Porch

Exploratory demolition has begun on the front porch. We discovered that the posts holding up the roof are hollow (rotted out), so we'll definitely have to replace those!
