New Year's Eve

We had a busy, fun day today for New Year's Eve.  We made corn chowder in the morning and brought some to Grandma Ely for lunch.  We did all Joy's new Doc puzzles.

Do you like their gallery?  Then we played don't break the ice.

Popsicle time!

And a second Popsicle while they read Noah's Ark with Grandma 4 times.

Party hats, my White Elephant gift from the MOPS party.

Fondue party!!  Complete with kids wine (sparkling grape juice).

Banging pots and pans...we made a lot of racket!!

Making a town out of blocks

Using his Angry Birds slingshot to knock down the blocks.

And finally, cuddling up to watch a Sofia movie.
It was a fun family day.

Beautiful Day

It was a beautiful day today so we got a lot done outside.  Shawn and Paul hauled a lot of wood up from the barn up to the burn pile.
I did not take any pictures of it, but after that we started loading the rocks up from outside our kitchen window into the tractor scoop to get out that weedy mess.  We're hoping to clear it out so we can plant grass.

Then Michael gave us a grand tour of their new house, which is all framed and was very exciting.  Paul and Joy once again enjoyed playing in the dirt and rocks.  They were coated in mud and got Shawn's truck filthy.  Why do I think these things are good ideas?  They did have fun, though.

Baby

Dave and Amanda had a calf born on Christmas Eve.  Her mama died, she was 2 weeks early, she has cleft palate and her legs are not formed properly.  We're going to do our best to  help her make it!
