My Old Bag

I finally had to throw this bag away, and I had to take a picture of it.  I have been using it for my uniform and karate braces and things since pretty much right after we started taking karate.  It was a shopping bag I got from the Under Armor store.  A great free bag.  It was there for me through a lot of stuff!  It was getting ripped up but I kept using it.  Then it started to stink.  It had to go.  I bought a nice new Athleta bag to do the job.  It has zipper pockets and things and is serving me just fine.

Homemade Edible Playdough

Joy has been asking since the summer for me to make homemade playdough that she can eat.  I finally got around to it in early December.  It tasted like peanut butter fudge and they ate it in about two minutes.  The did not actually really play with it.

Ducks in the Pond

When we walked at the Wild Things in the summer, we'd see a couple ducks at a time.  I saw a bunch this day in early December.

Lots of tries, a few great ones...

Paul's Civil War Book

Paul got a novel about the Civil War from the school library and he was sucked right into it, even reading at the dinner table.  Just like someone else in his family:)

Sunday School

In Sunday school this day, we talked about what mean words do - they deflate you.  So they said mean words and deflated their balloon friend.

Then we talked about how encouraging words build you up, and we built up our sort of scarecrow-ish friend.

Playtime with the Hendersons

It was so great to see Keli and family the Sunday after Thanksgiving.Joy played nicely with Alex.

And the boys did boy things.  Paul was so excited to play Nerf Wars with them.
