Dinner with the Cows

Joy likes to play with the grain and Cana likes to eat it.

Playing in Grandma's Van

The kids had lots of fun playing hide the football in Grandma's van tonight.

Tower of Snacks

Zuchinni Blossom Frittata

After all these years of growing zucchini, I finally cooked something with the blossoms!  They were easier to deal with than I expected.

Date Night at Fina's

Fina kindly offered to watch the kids so we could go out. Paul had great fun playing with Davey, Fina's nephew.  They both did just fine.  We had a lovely dinner at Andora and a nice visit with Fina.

 All suited up.
Davey is really into hockey!

Really Busy Saturday I:IV

Keli gave us all the travel pillows we could need.  I thought this was a little big for Paul, but he begged to differ.

Watching Wall-E with Grandpa while Daddy and Grandma pulled off the great vehicle switch.

Really Busy Saturday III: Kaitlyn's 11th Birthday Party

We had lots of fun at Keitlyn's birthday party.

Cake was fun, but waiting to open presents...maybe not so much.  Looks like they need a great game to play.  Good thing the rain stopped!

Paul had been wanting to play Capture the Flag with a big group of big kids, and he finally got his wish.  Everyone had a BLAST!!!!

Really Busy Saturday II: First Visit at Grandma and Grandpa's

We stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's in between events to let the kids chill and use their internet service to download videos onto Paul's new computer.  I thought Joy was going to fall asleep on Grandma's lap.

Really Busy Saturday I: Linnaea's

We were glad to have a play date with Linnaea, Keli, Danielle and kids.  We all had a good time.  It was really sad that Linnaea's step-nephew had died in a car crash the night before.  I'm glad we could at least distract her for a while.

Computer Time

I'm all about limiting screen time, but this was really nice while I was unloading the dishwasher.  We recently gave Paul his own kindle.  So far it has worked out really well.  The best part is that Joy Loves to read books on the Kindle.

King of the Zucchinis!

I don't know how, but this zucchini got away from me!!!

Picking Berries

Joy was wearing her "dress," which was the bottom of a reusable shopping bag.

Berry Milkshakes

This year was a good year for wild blackberries.  These are our blackberry milkshakes.

New Pen

Paul was very excited to help Dave build a new pen for the little girls, Jane and J.Z. today.  They sure do love their friend Cana!

Swimming at Uncle Greg's

I'm so glad we finally go to go swimming at Uncle Greg's today.  We had fun in the pool, and Paul was so happy to get to play ball with Bella again.  They have truly met their match in each other. Bella gave out first!

Waiting for the Dentist

The dentist was really thinking when she put arcade games in the waiting room.  Paul can't wait to go back!  He is scheduled for tooth surgery at the Morgantown hospital in Nov.

Bread

Since I'm obsessed with baking bread, I have to come up with things to keep the kids busy while I work.  They loved using the potato smasher to make "bubbes" in their dough.

The First Cucumbers

The first cucumbers of the garden...the kids eat them as fast as I can chop them.

Clock Project

I was taking pictures of things we do different times of day for our "clock project" to help Paul understand times of day.  Some of the pictures were pretty cute so I thought I'd include them here.
