Valentine's Day Morning

Paul and Joy were excited about their Star Wars Rebels Legos (to share) for Valentine's morning.

PSC Skates

I was quite nervous about taking the kids skating, because I knew I couldn't hold both of them and myself up.  Fortunately, the best skater I know was available to join us.  The kids had a ball skating with Kristie.  It only took Paul about 20 minutes to be making it around the rink by himself.  Joy skated with Kristie, then between Kristie and me.  I remembered  how much I enjoy skating.  I hope I don't wait too long to take them again.

A Girl in a Cone

Poor Sammie had a terrible infection on her foot.  Joy had to try on the dog cone first.  Sammie has been wearing it for almost a week now.  Poor girl.  We are all quite tired of getting clobbered by the cone.

Joy's Crazy Hair

Joy had super static at Grandma's the other day.

Walk to the Creek

It was in the 40s today so we went for a walk.  We investigated what the pipliners did to the creek.  I wish we could keep the bridge.  We were looking to see where they want to bore under the highway and where they want to put in a valve.

The dogs had a blast!

Lego Derby Carts

We were looking at pictures of the Wood kids big Derby race for Awana.  The kids were inspired to make their own Lego derby cars and have a race.

Valentines Party at Houston Church

The kids had a great time as always at the party at Dina's church.  It was good to see Olivia and J.J. because it had been a while.  They had yummy snacks and lots of fun with the big parachute.
 Sack race
 Heart craft

It's always so difficult to get a good picture of all the kids!

Making Shields from Chronicles of Narnia

We have been listening to the Chronicles of Narnia on audio cd thanks to Marion.  In the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, the Peter gets a sword and a shield from Santa Claus.  The kids wanted to make shields of their own so we made craft ones.

The Ghost

Paul used all his Christmas money, all the money he had saved up, and had to earn a good number of stickers to buy the Ghost.  It is a ship from Star Wars Rebels.  It cost $89.  He and Shawn worked over 3 days to get it put together.  Paul is very excited about it.

Paul Getting His Stripe

We did not attend the promotion for our orange belt with a stripe.  We got them in class.  I did get to take pictures of Paul getting his.
