Paul's Slide

Paul really likes his new sliding board. The other picture is of him just waking up the other day. Shawn was at the Steeler's game and sent me a picture of the Lombardi Trophy, so I sent him a picture of what we were doing. By the way, the Steelers beat Baltimore!

Hiking with Mama

A look at Paul over my shoulder. He was riding in his pack while I trudged through the snow. He likes to watch Cana run around. Sometimes he sings for me while we walk.

Freshwater's Party

We had a very nice time at the Freshwater's party. Keli's cousin Michael did a good job of entertaining Paul. Unfortunately, none of the pictures came out too good because Paul moves too fast!

Working the Earth

Paul was glad to get out in the sun. He looked cool in his cute but impractical boots. He had lots of fun helping Dada cover the ditch.

Christmas Morning

Paul had lots of fun opening his gifts on Christmas morning. They all came in gift bags because he likes taking things out of bags.

He really liked his slide. He stands at the bottom and signs "more" so we pick him up and put him on it again. He hasn't figured out how to climb up it himself yet.

Christmas Eve

Paul joined us in church on Christmas Eve. He loved the candles, but wanted to eat them. It was a job trying to hide them!

Paul's First Time in the Snow

Paul didn't know what to make of the snow. It was very hard for him to walk around. He was a little scared sled riding. He did enjoy watching Shawn throw snow balls.

Immediate Speer Family Christmas

The Speer Family Christmas turned out great. All the kids had lots of fun playing inside and outside. They had a great time making echoes in the silo and climbing the hay. Everyone had fun with Peyton's Nerf gun.

Laci was a wonderful help in the kitchen; she is so curious!

Paul slept through dinner but had lots of time to play with his cousins. He warmed right up to Kenny; maybe because he looks so much like Dada.

Enjoying the tree...notice it's only decorated halfway down!

Blustery Day

Paul and I had lots of fun outside on this blustery day. He was glad to have his new boots and jacket from Jacob Ivanac.

Paul tried to through the football to Cana. He still needs to work on the distance a little.

Paul also wanted to get into the garden.

When we play outside, I usually start Paul at the top of the hill, then he walks down. Then I carry him back up and we start all over.

Helping with the Christmas Lights

Paul helped me check the Christmas lights to see which sets worked.

Help Cleaning

Paul likes to help me sweep up the floor. He is learning to follow directions. I said, "Go get the dust pan," and pointed to it. He went and got it.

Keli's Party, and Visit with Aunt Margie and Lin

We were very glad to get to visit with Aunt Margie, Lin and Jeremy on Saturday. The Christmas tree from Lin worked out great! We will post pictures soon.

Keli's party was lots of fun. It was great to see everyone. Paul had fun playing with Nascar cars with Julian, and had fun taking ornaments off the tree with Reese.

The picture of me and Paul is from his cousin Bryce's first birthday party in November.

Accomplishments Despite Being Sick

Paul was very sick this weekend with a fever and had to miss out on Thanksgiving, Tug's birthday and church. He has been miserable! However, despite being so sick he has learned some new things.

Paul signed his first 2-word sentence, making the signs for "more" and "drink."

He will also now complete the sentence, "The lion says..." with a big "Roar!" This is from one of his favorite books.

We did get to spend time outside these last two beautiful days.

Styling

Thanks to Great-Grandma

Paul hung out with Great-Grandma while I went to get Christmas card pictures made. Thank you, great grandma for doing mountains of my laundry!

Making Chocolate Pie

Paul and I had a great time licking the beaters and spatulas when we made chocolate pie last week.

Paul's New Bike

Paul hasn't quite gotten the hang of his new bike from Grandma and Pappy, but he likes when Daddy pushes him on it. He loves the garden tools that came with it the best. He tries to scoop up everything with his little shovel.

Multi-Tasking

Paul likes to brush his teeth in the bathtub. In fact, he likes to brush his teeth anywhere! He is now obsessed with the toothbrush. He came up with his own sign for brushing his teeth.

Birthday Present from Grandpa

Grandpa brought out Paul's new birthday guitar. Paul liked it, and the box it came in. He's been carrying it around the house since.

Grandma Love

Grandma and Pappy came out Saturday to help daddy with the construction. Grandma had lots of love for Paul and Cana.
