Hershey Day 4

Every one slept late, Paul and I were the first ones up and we played "bowling golf" outside.  The mini golf office was not open yet, but we found a couple balls and rolled them into the holes.   Then we packed up, hit the indoor and outdoor pools, had a picnic cereal lunch, and hit the road.

Hershey Day 3

I promised the kids if we got the "money shot" Christmas card picture at Hershey Gardens I'd buy them dipp n dots.  So there you have it.

The zoo.  We arrived late for an animal encounter show, just in time to meet a peregrine falcon!!  So neat to learn about them since we have a pair living on our farm.  We love to spot and observe our falcons.

There were tons of owls and other birds that Joy loved at this zoo, including bald eagles.

Joy was getting very independent and wanted to ride without me.  The boys were off riding the roller coaster called the Comet over and over again.

I gave in and let Joy get her face painted.  She loved it and stared in the mirror all night!

Uno in the lounge and our last Reese's martinis, which were as good as we had hoped.  A crazy dance mom photobombed the first picture.  The place was full of crazy, drunk, loud dance moms.  A little boy from Long Island named Landon played Uno with us and then played with Paul in the indoor pool the next morning.  He was there with his sister, a dancer, and was glad for a little boy to play with.

Showing Grandma that her face paint stayed on through her bath.

Hershey Gardens

The parking lot overlooked Hershey Park.  They had fun observing the rides from above.

Butterfly atrium.  So many butterflies!

The butterflies loved Shawn.  They kept landing on him.  Maybe because he was well coated in sunscreen?

The Hershey Gardens were so cool!!  So many neat little clubhouse like spots.  Those Hershey kisses randomly spouted mist when you looked into them.

 Daddy photobomb!

We liked these giant reeds, want to get some.

Hershey Day 2

We made reservations for Hershey World Make Your Own Chocolate Bar for Monday morning.

Joy really liked meeting, dancing with and getting her picture taken with all the candy.

There was a lot of waiting involved, but it really was cool to make our own candy bars.  We liked watching the machines, learning fun facts, designing our wrappers and eating the chocolate!!

Joy rode the carousel a lot!

You know he is really tired when he neglects a bowl of ice cream!!
