Naan

My latest bread experiment, Naan, Indian flatbread.  This one came out burnt on one side, it took some trial and error to get the right skillet and the right temperature.  But, it was still good.  And the subsequent ones were so good that we ate them before a photo could be taken!

K'Nex Roller Coaster

After many months of intermittent work, Shawn and Paul finally finished the K'Nex Roller Coaster we bought over the summer at the Toy Museum after viewing their awesome K'Nex coaster display.  It was a ton of hard work for them, but it turned out Awesome!

Emerson's 5th Birthday Party

Another party at the Little Gym.  Poor Paul had such a bad cough he had to stay home with Daddy.  They had their own fun, though.  Joy was very good at the party and had a blast.

Winter Party at Houston Church

We had lots of fun running around and playing games with Olivia, J.J. and Gary Thomas.

Joy's Lego House

We worked hard while Paul was at school.

Sitting in a Basket Caring for her Baby

Visit with Grandma Ely

Paul was snuggling up to read some nursery rhymes with Grandma.

Climbing School

Just another day at climbing school.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potato Bread

I know, it looks a lot like the other loaves, but boy was it really tasty!  Each loaf did not last many hours in our house:)

Legos From Uncle David

Shawn and Paul put together some more Christmas Legos, the City set from Uncle David.  They sure were cool.  The best part was the forklift that would spring the minifigures into the air.  They enjoyed shooting them into the bathtub.

Snuggles and Food

Saturday night Paul had a very fun sleepover at Grandma Cowan's.  He had so much fun checking out the beaver dam and beaver evidence with Grandpa on Sunday.

I had a blast teaching my practice cooking class to Mary Alice on Sunday afternoon.  We had so much fun:)
It was a week of lots of traveling: Shawn went to Ohio to get feed and back Saturday morning, and then out to Arianna's party. Then Sunday out and back again to pick Paul up.  I'm thankful that we had safe travels.

This afternoon the kids cuddled up together and watched some Leapfrog shows on Netflix while we did laundry.

I made our usual red pepper strata for dinner.  I used leftover bread cubes I froze from the rolls Grandma Speer brought for Christmas.  I made the kids their own bread and egg casserole too with peas and corn.  It was very yummy.  See Joy rubbing her belly in appreciation.

I made 2 kinds of bread (pumpernickel and cheddar beer) and some spinach dip for Mops tomorrow.  I thought I'd do a preview for our class coming up next month.

Paul was so excited to get to play shooting with some other kids, he got a giant blister on his finger (again.)
