Anniversary Dinner

We had our only 2 pork tenderloins (brined), cooked apples and baked sweet potatoes, bread and gravy.  The kids gobbled up the apples and pork. It was delicious.

15th Anniversary Vacation to Green Valley

Thank you so much Grandma and Pappy for watching the kids!!!  We had a really wonderful and relaxing time.
We stayed at Excelsior cottage for the first time and it was really, really nice.
The inside of the cottage, down stairs.  There were 2 bedrooms and a bath upstairs.
Playing cards on the porch - we remembered how on this vacation!

Why I Never Seem to Get Anything Accomplished

Because this is what happens when I turn my back to make gravy...they unload the entire spice cabinet.

Billy Bell Park

While the kids were off for spring break I took them to Billy Bell park to ride their bikes and scooter.

Dress Up Clothes Go into the Wardrobe

Trying to make room for the vanity, I put all the dress up clothes in the wardrobe.  Is that a crazy amount of dress up clothes or what?!  The kids like to get into the bottom of the wardrobe and pretend they are going to Narnia.

What shall I do with all the rest of the stuff?

Visit with Keli and Kids

We were so happy ti visit with Keli, Clay Max and Alex last weekend.  Alex is so sweet and is growing so fast.

Happy Happy Farm Dinner

Hot sausage from our piggy, with Janie Girl (the cow) cheese on top on a roll made from the whey, raw milk mac and cheese, and Janie Girl gelato for dessert, also made with farm fresh eggs from entrepreneur Elihu Dale.

Janie Girl Cheese

We made cheese with our raw milk.  I ended up way over salting it because it had so much more flavor than the pasteurized milk to begin with.  Lesson learned.  It came together SO much faster than the pasteurized milk.  The curds separated WAY more easily from the whey.  I think it must be because of the homogenization of the other milk.

Panning For Gold

We had fun using Paul's new gold mining set in the creek on Monday.  Joy had fun getting muddy.

Easter Afternoon with Family

We had such fun Easter afternoon eating and playing with family.

We ate ham, green beans, mashed potatoes and rolls.

It was a great day for flying kites.

Arianna loved visiting the cows and playing in the barn.
