I finally got around to making raw zucchini hummus, which I had wanted to make all summer. It was good enough, but not as good a regular hummus. Like many zucchini dips, it was a little watery. Maybe I should try to drain and squeeze the zucchini first.
I was trying to give these tomatoes away. Many people said they wanted them, but no one actually came and got them. Many of the pumpkins rotted too, although some folks did take pumpkins (Emily and Amy). After canning 81 quarts (and a pint!), we are so done with tomatoes! We are very, very thankful that we had such a bountiful harvest of them.
