Yesterday we welcomed the newest addition to the Speer Family Farm, our Beefalo! He's part beef cow, part buffalo and supposedly super healthy to eat. I've named him Gideon. I'm so proud of Shawn Speer who successfully towed Farmer George's stock trailer for the first time today and drove it for 5 hours to pick this guy up. I hope we can keep him alive, happy and healthy until it's time to put him in our freezer! He is quite shy right now, I hope we can make friends with him.
