Last week for family time we went for a hike down to the creek below the road. In the far corner in a swampy area the kids found a large skull and many other bones. We looked up a picture of a cow skeleton and that is definitely what it was. Later both Uncle Greg and Farmer George confirmed one of Jim's cows died in that spot. The kids have been reading books from the library about archaeology and paleontology and they were very excited to make a discovery of their own. They have been slowly bringing more and more bones home and cleaning them off. The porch is covered in cow bones.
