Visit with Aunt Cathy

We were so excited that Aunt Cathy came out to spend the day with us last Tuesday.  Joy loved doing the obstacle course with her over and over again, and reading and coloring with her.

 Paul was happy to read to Aunt Cathy, and to show off some of his karate moves.

I, of course, was happy to talk about food and gardens and farm life.  We had lunch of corn and butternut squash chowder from the garden and Aunt Cathy took some butternut squashes to go.  She brought some delicious CA wine for us and and some of her home canned pears the the kids, which they polished off in minutes.   The kids missed their Aunt Sue and kept asking about her.  We hope she can visit next time!
