We took the trip down to go see Carl's band play an outdoor party and to meet his family. It was supposed to be 3.5 hours but with stops it took us 5 hours. We saw some sort of reenactment out the car window and stopped to see what was going on. It turned out to be just a couple folks marching down the road, but we stayed and played at the nice park. 
Here is the only picture from Carl's party, I don't know why I didn't take more. Paul did a really great job making friends and playing with the other kids there.
