This tournament was held at Char Valley previous years. It was in a tiny gym and was so hot this year.
Paul got 2nd in sparring in a very tough division. He did really awesome and did not give up even when the going got rough.
Once again I was first runner up for the three tournament series from the year before. Noah took the pictures of me.
I did everything to not compete this year. I hurt my foot from too much walking in the fields on uneven surfaces and I couldn't practice my break and could hardly practice my form. I went to sparring class and stayed up late the night before. I took Paul on an hour walk at the Montour trail before the tournament. But when I walked in there, I wrote out the check and there you had it. I did well with my form and should have placed. I did much better than others who placed. But, I went first. My break went awesome! I got first. As usual, all the other ladies tried and failed at crazy breaks with tons of boards at each station.
I got 2nd in sparring. I won one fun match against a big, tough girl. She was very nice and gave me nice compliments afterward. Then I went against Joyce. I punched her so many times and they did not call the points. I blocked a bunch of her kicks that they called for her. But, oh well. I got 2nd in sparring.
All of us who placed in the Mid Atlantic Series from 2016. Noah is catching up to me in height! I bet this time next year he'll have caught up.
