Joy's first test...She has come quite a long way. As recently as October, she wasn't able to make it through more than 15 minutes of class without crying. Then she was able to make it through kids class, then family class.
A huge part of the reason why is her friend Payten, who is very motivated and is a great example for her.
Quiet, well behaved Zain completed the trio of 4 year olds.
I really, really loved that Shawn was able to lead Joy through mostly everything. It was great to watch.
Ugh. Terrible and ongoing evidence of my chicken wing leg. I've GOT to work on the proper form for those round kicks! And I have been.
Pyung Ahn Si Dan
The straight leg back wheel kick got the best of me. I told Master Ward that I only wanted to try twice in the interest on not hurting myself.
Although both times I hit the board square on in the proper spot, I didn't break it. I was sad, but glad I was not hurt worse. Even still, Shawn and I both hobbled around the next day or two.
Shawn and I have no other pictures of us sparring (who would take them?) So it was cool to get some.
