Thanksgiving in October

We had Thanksgiving for dinner last week because we were craving it. I couldn't bring myself to buy a turkey when we have two freezers full of beef and pork. So we had pork shoulder (cooked with all the Thanksgiving aromatics) instead. We didn't miss the turkey at all!  The pork gravy was really good too.

The pumpkin pie with our homegrown pumpkins was creamy and out of this world.
The stuffing with our pumpkin oat bread was good.  I just need to chop the bread a little smaller.
