Walking at the Wellness Center

Joy and I had some much needed girls time walking at the trail at the Wellness Center while Paul was at kids class.  We were playing Grumpy Old Troll.

Paul's Promotion to Green Belt with 2 Stripes

Paul got promoted in kids class Thursday.  He is enjoying being the highest ranking martial artist in the house until Shawn and I get promoted.  Our last promotions at the Wellness Center!

Another Cat?!!

Another cat showed up Wednesday night.  And it's been hanging around since.  It is really pretty and friendly.  It needs to find another home badly.  I'm not feeding this one!  Things did not end well at all for the last two.

And tonight it was in the tree.  And we were not about to get any ladders out.  No way.  It found it's own way down and was hiding under the shed the last I knew.

In the News Again: Washington Living Magazine

We were in the Washington Living Magazine, which comes out with the newspaper, this month.  The kids were pictured eating our pumpkin waffles and the recipe was featured. (It was not an original recipe).

Constructing in Sunday School

My class made Jacob's ladder out of bread dough.  The kids loved it and everyone (even the other classes) devoured it and asked for more.  I'll have to make bread projects a couple times a year kind of event.  

Meanwhile, Paul's class (with Joelle), was constructing the tower of Babel.

Avett's 2nd Birthday Party

We had all had lots of fun at Avett's birthday party.  We enjoyed visiting with all the Gaitens.

 Joy loved Pax's drum set.  A lot!!  She was always back in the toy room jamming it out.

All the kids were into the train set.

Christmas Sale at the Fairgrounds with Grandma

Last Friday we went to the Christmas sale at the fairgrounds with Grandma Cowan.  We had a yummy lunch and there were lots of cool decorations and other things to look at.  

The only things I bought were Steelers bows for Joy's hair.  They are cute!  I debated about lots of other stuff but didn't buy anything.  

Joy wanted to take a trolley ride.

 Then, we had a few minutes before we had to go get Paul, so we played at the Children's Garden.

While Paul went to Moshe's for a birthday celebration, Esther came here to play.  Emily sent cupcakes for us.

Jacob Wrestling with God Sunday School

We had a great 2 week lesson about Jacob wrestling with God.  Along with the story, we did a giant crossword puzzle, a Blessings Hunt (with the blessings in the plastic pumpkins), and the kids favorite, Rock Em Sock Em!

Trampoline Place

We had a super awesome time at the trampoline place in Bridgeville Saturday.  Once again, I was the only mom jumping.  I can't fathom why.  

 We went for lunch at Panera afterward.

Then we stopped to see Daddy working on the new karate studio in the Meadowlands.
