Party at the Ivanacs

Despite the heat (111 degrees!!!!!!), we had lots of fun at the Ivanacs.  We were in the nice and cool basement most of the time, but we did venture out here and there.  Joy and Pax enjoyed staring at each other and grabbing each other's faces.  Paul had so much fun with all the Ivanacs.  He was both excited about and scared of the chickens.

The Mall

The Speers were definitely the crazy folks at the mall today.  It was too hot to do anything outside (the thermometer got to 106!!!!!!!!!!!).  We thought we'd go to the new Hog Father's spot at the food court.  It was very good, but the kids were just nuts, running all over the place!  We should have gotten the meal to go; it was hard for either of us to actually manage to take a bite.  Then we took them to climb on the climbing things.  Paul wanted so badly to ride in the police car strollers, but we didn't think it was worth it for the $10 for both of them.  So, we let them climb on them in their little parking area.  They still managed to have some fun, and they probably wouldn't have wanted to sit in them for much longer than that anyways.

Phone Troubles

Last Friday night I dropped my phone in the toilet.  For the next month, I will be using my pre-IPhone phone, which means, no camera!  There will certainly be a slow down in blog pictures.  Hopefully, come the beginning of August, I'll pick up where I left off.

Independence Day

We had a very fun Fourth of July at Grandma and Pappy's.  Grandma and the kids played very hard outside despite the heat.  They did have to duck their heads in the pool now and then.  Joy got to spend some quality time with Pappy!

Kaitlyn's Party

We had lots of fun at Kaitlyn's "Braces Off" party at Chuck E Cheese.  I didn't get any pictures of Paul because he was in the "fun house" the entire time!

Round Bales!

I love my farm family!!!

Bible School 2012

Paul had an awesome time at Bible School.  He had so much fun, he passed out wherever we went in the afternoon, regardless of his declaring that he "did not need a nap!!"
Even though it was in the middle of her nap time, Joy made it through with only a few minor meltdowns.  I set up the pack n play for  Joy in the church, but she didn't use it.  She did play the piano!
All the kids were wonderful and overall it was a great week.  Paul did a great job dancing at on Sunday.
