Making Streusel

One of our favorite healthy desserts of late has been peach/blueberry streusel. It's a tasty dessert to help with.

Spider Man Jammies

Paul has gotten logs of exciting hand-me-down jammies lately and these Spider Man ones form Tugs are some of his favorites!

Happy Easter!

We had a very nice Easter afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa's. Paul loved his new baseball game, and Joy liked using it as a tent. Paul got to spend some great quality time with Aunt Nini. It was very nice to see Great Grandpap Cowan.

Joy's nap time worked out so that we all made it to church. And Joy did just fine in the nursery (after I got her settled).

Easter morning was very nice. We read the Easter story and then began our scavenger hunt with egg clues. At first, Paul didn't quite know what it was all about. Then when he got the hang of the clues and the gifts, he loved it! He is especially excited about his round baler and the cash register. Joy loves the shopping buggy!

Developmental Update

Right now Joy says three words: Dada, Mama and Hi. She likes to wave and say Hi. She is just signing Cana now. She is learning to repeat simple actions, like hitting a ball with a small bat, or taking something in and out of a bowl. She is getting interested in books. She especially likes looking at pictures of cows and other animals with interesting sounds. She likes lift-the-flap books. She is not as into the rhyming books as Paul was.

She is still cruising, not walking independently. She is starting to stand up for a few seconds without holding on, until she realizes what she is doing.
