West Alexander Fair

Well, we didn't make it to the tractor pull at either fair, but we did make it to the diary show at both.  We had a great time at West Alexander.  We saw the animals, rode the rides, ate ice cream, played games, and of course watched the cows.

First Day of School Again

Today is the first real day of school; last week was orientation.

Joy and the Woolly Worm

My little trendsetter - too big clothes she insists on wearing, mismatched socks, and her newest pet, a dead woolly worm.

Corn Harvest

Paul wore my kevlar gloves so he could use the V slicer to get the corn off the cob.  It worked very well.

Party at Michael and Jackie's

It was late and the kids had already been through one party on Sunday, but they had a blast at Michael and Jackie's.  They loved running around with her dalmatian and seeing the new chickens.

Paul is a firebug.  He would not stop obsessing about it until he made friends with a little girl and was off to play. I had to carry Joy out kicking and screaming; they didn't want to leave.

Speer Family Picnic

We had an awesome time Sunday visiting with cousins.  The kids did great playing together and it was very good to catch up.  We had corn and cantaloupe from the garden, meatballs, garden tomato sauce, and homemade buns for dinner.

Cocoa, Missy's dog, was a little unsure about the 2 big dogs.  They did ok, though.

Lacy and Joy had lots of fun together.

As did Paul and the big boys.

Uncle Kenny used his football coaching skills to teach Paul to throw.

Ice cream cones with sprinkles was easy for dessert, and all the kids liked them.
