Great News and Toy Museum Date

We got the most wonderful news today.  Our prayers have been answered.  My mom is officially cancer free!!!  God is so good.  We are so thankful and elated.  I cried tears of joy and shouted so loud Shawn thought something was seriously wrong downstairs:)  This great news is the Christmas gift I wanted most of all this year.

Then, we finally had our Toy Museum date with Grandpa.  They had tons of fun playing remote control work machines, race track, Foosball,  and all the other toys.  It was a great afternoon.

Grandma Speer Day

Paul and Joy decorated with Grandma Speer all day.  Thanks so much, Grandma, now our house sparkles and shines!!  Paul was excited to read his new school book to Grandma.

The kids had dessert with Grandma before she went home.

Paul the Reader

Paul has just added real books to his sound work at school.  Today he brought home the very first book he could read independently.  We were all so excited and proud of him!!

Take a Picture of Me!

Joy wanted me to take a picture of her.  She likes climbing ON her dollhouse much more than she likes playing with it.

Checkers with Grandma Ely

We brought Grandma over yesterday to see our tree.  Paul had fun playing checkers with her.  They also played their play dough game and painted.

Who is This Child?

Joy never plays contentedly alone, and never plays like a "girl." Yet, for almost an hour yesterday while Paul was at school, she quietly played Doc Mcstuffins, cuddling and kissing Ariel and her babies, and said things like "Don't cry." Usually she wants to play Spiderman and Ghostbusters. I think it was a Christmas miracle!  I was afraid to make a sound to disrupt her because I thought she'd snap out of it.

The Way Home

We went to Pizza Hut in Triadelphia on the way home.  Joy was climbing around on the floor as usual.  A highchair is just a climbing device to her.

We were surprised Paul was out on the way home.  But, he was just fooling us!
