Oglebay Part II: The Lodge

Fireplace in our room.  We really liked our sweet suite.  We're going to try to get one just like it when we come back again for the 4th of July.

Tree in the hallway near the dining room.  The hallway was hung with decorations that said "Joy," which was very exciting for Joy.

We enjoyed a fancy buffet in the dining room.  Here's Joy eating plain butter off the knife.
Smiling over dessert, Joy with a chocolate smile.

Swimming in the giant tub once again.

Oglebay Part I: The Zoo

Dancing it up waiting for the laser shoe to start.

I told him to hold still so I could take a picture.

Joy was not heavy enough to keep the folding chair down.  She had to sit on my lap.

Buttermilk Bread

I thought this loaf of bread turned out quite lovely, so I took a picture of it.  The buttermilk bread is the same dough I use for my rolls.  My favorite tasting bread, but it's not whole grain.

Climbing School

Joy loves gymnastics, a.k.a. climbing school!  She likes to hang upside down, just like the picture of Spiderman on the wall.

Cinnamon Rolls

Paul wanted to make cinnamon rolls so we made these pecan rolls with our pumpkin brioche dough.  I thought they were super incredibly fabulous, but he didn't like them.   I did make a big mess with them.  I used my spring form pan and forgot to line it with foil.  I had sticky caramel all over the pizza stone.  At least it came off.

2001 Turkey Trot

Grandpap sent us these pictures from the 2001 Turkey Trot.  I loved them.  It makes me realize I need to start taking yearly pictures of the turkey trot.  I wore that same hat for this year's turkey trot!
