Race for the Cure

It was a very nice Mother's Day morning at the Race for the Cure.  Team Cowan raised over $5,000, which is unbelievable awesome.  I had a great time with my family and with Keli and her family too.  It was also very nice to have a morning off from mothering duties.  I liked taking the bus so I didn't have to drive.

Made in the USA

One of the coolest things I've found in our New Year's resolution quest to buy things made in the USA: New Balance shoes I got to design myself!

Tractor Shopping

We went with Shawn to St. Clairsville last Saturday to buy his awesome new John Deere.  It took a LONG time to buy a tractor, so we had plenty of time to play on all the tractors outside.

After the tractor was bought, we had a celebration at Pizza Hut.

Birthday Dinner

We were all very excited to have birthday dinner with Grandma Ely.  I made Joy and Paul's favorite peanut-potato soup.  They picked out treats from the GE bakery for dessert.

Who says 2 year olds don't need smash cakes!

After dinner reading with Grandma while Mommy cleans up the kitchen.

Joy's Birthday Presents

Joy had a great 2nd birthday.  She did have a lot of difficulty understanding that it was not yet the day for her ladybug party.  She still managed to have lots of fun though.

She loved her Princess Leia outfit from Paul.

Her very own torpedos.

A Joy-sized squirt gun.

And a new Tinkerbell movie.

New Lightsaber Popsicles

Ladybug CraftI

I was practicing the ladybug snack craft we will be making at Joy's party.  Paul and Joy loved it!  I made them so many my hands got sore from poking in all the chocolate chips!
