Ornaments
After we were done decorating the tree, Paul cried that it was over. He wanted to decorate more! So, I looked up directions to make dough ornaments. We made them and painted them and hung them on the tree.

Decorating the Tree
The kids loved decorating the tree. Paul cried when we were done. We decorated the top with ornaments and the bottom with toys tied on strings.

Uncle Lee's
We got to Uncle Lee's after the party was over. It actually worked out well, Jaime's kids were still there and the kids had a blast! Paul and Aidan had lots of fun playing basketball and shooting each other with guns. Lexi and I chatted and she played with Joy. Joy loved Aunt Marcy's noodles as much as I do!
Thanksgiving at Grandma's
Turkey Trot
We had beautiful weather for Grandma and the kids' first Turkey Trot. I was just hoping to beat 30 min since I had been lucky to do a 9 min mile during my training. I was extremely pleasantly surprised to do it in 26:32. Paul rode in the stroller because he was still so tired from being sick. Joy made it in the stroller until the bottom of the hill, then she had had enough and rode on my back up the hill.
The alarm that rings when my lights are on in my car went out about a month ago. I left my lights on during the Turkey Trot and my battery went dead. I'm thankful for the kindness of a stranger and his family who gave me a jump!
Sickness
This is the only picture I took for several days when Paul was sick with strep and a virus. He had a high, difficult to fight fever from Friday (when he got sent home from school) until Monday. He is still recovering his strength.

Gold Digger
We took Keli's advice and went to the super awesome giant toy store in Martin's Ferry. The kids had fun playing and I got lots of Christmas shopping done. Paul had earned his stickers and chose a gold digging kit from the Smithsonian. It was hard work but he had lots of fun.

Sewing
I know it's hard to see what's happening here. Paul is zipped into an old baby tent, behind the couch, working on his sewing and listening to music. He has been very into sewing lately.
So far age 4 seems significantly better than three. He is capable of entertaining himself with projects like these for longer lengths of time.

Happy 18 Month Birthday, Joy!
We had to run up to the church yesterday to pick up a shoebox. We stayed and played for a while. Joy loved that ducky!
