There's nothing Paul would rather do when he gets up from his nap than work with Shawn on a construction project. They were putting together his new desk. He is very excited about the new circular saw he chose today at the toy store.
These were also from a couple days ago (before the Pens got eliminated from the playoffs!) Paul was being a wild hockey player in his new jammies from Gina.
I just got this picture off of Shawn's phone, so I thought I'd post it, even though it's a couple days belated. Paul loves to read with grandpa, and it sure was great to see great-grandpap!!
Kate and the boys came over today to play on the new swingset. Paul and Brian had tons of fun running around trying everything out and Liam enjoyed the swing. Paul and Brian made a good team helping shovel the mulch!
We are so excited about Paul's new swingset! And boy are we glad we had them assemble it for us, that was a ton of work! Paul had lots of fun watching it being assembled. With a lot of prompting, he did stay out of the workers way. It is awesome how it is right out the window, I think that will be really nice in the future. The mulch was delivered later in the day, we still need to do the edging and put in the mulch.
Shawn thought I might have Baby Joy during church...he didn't know what was wrong with me. However, it was just her kicking like crazy that was bringing tears to my eyes.
Paul had lots of fun at the Easter Egg Hunt at church before the Easter Service. He found lots of eggs and was very excited about the candy. You can see him choosing some of his m&m's over a donut! Poor Robin, who had tons of sugared up kids in the nursery that day!!
Paul had a scavenger hunt of Easter eggs filled with clues to lead him to his toys. He loved it! He got a new basketball, bubble gun, sandbox toys, wheelbarrow, and best of all, his very own backhoe! He definitely likes that the best! He had fun helping Shawn adjust the seat to fit him better. Hopefully the rain will stop later so we can go out and dig in the mud and rocks.
Paul was also excited about using his sandbox toys as a trowel and mixing device for imaginary joint compound, which he applied to many surfaces throughout the house.
We had a very nice time at Gibb and Ginnie's Baby Shower. Baby Pax is due May 31. Paul had so, so much fun playing with the Ivanac kids!!! He wanted to go home with them. I very much appreciated Jerry watching Paul so I could watch Ginnie open her presents.
Shawn was mowing grass last night and Paul had to ride his bike around to mow the whole time too. Every time Shawn stopped the tractor to deal with a problem, Paul had to do the exact same thing. When Shawn put air in his tires, Paul had to do the same. When Shawn looked under the hood, Paul flipped his bike over to see too. It was very cute and funny!
